This type of surgery was performed about doctor, The woman didn't have a nose, and the doctor attached her upper arm to her face. They wouldn't leave it like that obviously they rabbit with something that wouldn't allowed it to move and at the same time they put dressing on it. Is this crazy they would totally forget their hand was sewed in to their abdomen & probably rip it out by accident like when you sleep.
And my dad had to have this done many years ago after a bad work related accident. Back when they didn't take many pictures and before the Internet. It's amazing what they can do.

One of my relatives was wounded in his hand injury eloquent during the war and he underwent a similar process in the eighties of the last century and survived the amputation of his hand. I think you wouldn't be able to rip it out. When they perform this procedure, the hand, or whatever body part is at risk, is very tightly sewn in the abdomen.
